This Halloween, Dr VanderMolen and the team here at Advanced Dental Care of Springfield are quite literally putting our money where our mouths are. We’ve decided to participate in a program called the Halloween Candy Buyback.
This program gives trick-or-treaters the opportunity to exchange some or all of their Halloween haul for cash. The collected candy will then be sent to Operation Gratitude in California where it will be sorted and repackaged and then distributed to troops serving overseas.
Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound, up to a five (5) pound limit, for all unopened, uneaten candy. We also encourage the children to draw pictures and/or write letters or notes to include in the packages to our troops.
We will be collecting the candy on Friday, November 1st, the day after Halloween, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and again on Saturday, November 2nd from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.

2013 Small Business of the Year Nomination

On Monday we were honored to be nominated by the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce for the 2013 Small Business of the Year Award.

Dentistry From the Heart 2013

Dentistry From The Heart is a worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to those in need and each year, Advanced Dental Care of Springfield is proud to participate.
On June 7th from 7:30 am until 4pm, Dr VanderMolen and the entire team will offer free dental care (a standard cleaning, single filling or single tooth extraction – no cosmetic services provided) to those people in the Springfield IL area in need of care.
There will be no charge for the services provided and all care is offered on a first come, first served basis. No appointments will be taken this day.
We sincerely hope to make a difference in the lives of those who come for help during our 2013 Dentistry From the Heart event on June 7th and we’ll do everything we can to relieve pain and fix dental problems.
Patients who need ongoing care or have problems that cannot be corrected in one day will be referred to area community clinics, where they can receive ongoing treatment at a low or no cost.

Dr VanderMolen recently had the opportunity to speak with Bob Murray of WTAX AM channel 1240’s morning show. He speaks about the best selling book her recently co-wrote with best-selling author Brian Tracy. The title of the book is The Secret to Winning Big.
The book is actually written by numerous authors, each one writing a chapter on a specific topic important to winning in business and life. Dr VanderMolen’s chapter is about courtesy, something that our patients know is very important to all of us here at Advanced Dental Care.
